The Reading Room has a library section with books donated by the British Academy and a lovely alcove section perfect for your catering requirements. The type of events perfect for the Reading Room are; conferences, seminars, evening receptions, private dinners, wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions.
Music Room

The Music Room is one of the most stunning and original rooms and in our building for your wedding ceremony or reception. The Music Room is an equally generous space to it's neighbour (Council Room), the room is finished with more of a delicate palette, with intricate white wall panelling and painted window blinds surrounded by a number of natural mirrors.

For private dining, the Council Room is one of our most popular rooms due to the traditional values this room holds. It represents itself as a traditional, classy and ornate space perfect for private dining. The chandeliers also provide that exquisite and special feel. The Council Room is suitable for private dining up to 70 guests maximum and has a door to the side of the room which links with the Music room (On the Number 11 side of Carlton House Terrace) which is perfect if you require a separate space for a drinks reception beforehand.
Radhakrishnan Room

The Radhakrishnan Room is perfect for private dining up to 50 guests because the room is real masterpiece with such fine details associated with 1820's style of building. This exquisite fine detail along with art work from our British Academy collection make the room a real experience for the eyes. This particular room is situated to the rear of the building and boasts amazing views over the Mall, Horse Guards Parade, the tower of Big Ben and the London Eye. The room is a perfect setting for a private dinner in the former home of the longest serving Prime Minister, William Gladstone.
